The First Session

Meeting face-to-face is the best way for you to know if we are a “good fit”. The first session gives us the chance to meet and tell me what brings you to therapy. This also gives me the chance to tell you how I see us working together and to answer any questions you may have. If we decide not to work together by the end of the first session, I will offer you referrals to other therapists who may be able to best meet your needs.

Appointments

I offer an initial complimentary telephone consultation. This will give you time to ask any questions you may have. Appointments are scheduled in advance and generally take place once a week for 50 minutes, but can be altered depending on your needs. I can be flexible to meet your schedule needs with a variety of daytime and evening appointments.

Fees and Payment

My standard fee for a 50 minute session is:

  • Individual: $100/session
  • I reserve some limited space for clients on a sliding fee scale. Please contact me directly for more information.

Payment is to be made at the beginning of each session in the form of cash or check.

My fee applies to telephone or email contacts beyond 15 minutes per week. When a call extends beyond 10 minutes, I will let you know that we can continue our conversation during your regular therapy session or begin charging you the pro-rated fee.

Insurance

I am an In-Network provider for the following insurances:

  • Regence
  • Value Options
  • First Choice
  • Cigna
  • I am an Out-of-Network Provider for all other insurance plans.

    I recommend that you call prior to your first session and ask your insurance company if they reimburse out-of-network providers. You will also need to be clear on your rate of coverage, your co-pay amount, any unmet deductibles and the number of sessions available to you each year.

    Cancellation Policy

    I require a 24 hour cancellation notice in advance. If notice is not given, you will be charged $50 for the missed session.

    If you arrive late for your session, the session will end at the regular scheduled time and you be charged for the full session.

    Please only cancel an appointment by voicemail.
